Section I: Spiritual Revival - Hebrews 4:12; II 2 Timothy 2:15
Hebrews 4:12English Standard Version (ESV)
12 For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart.
2 Timothy 2:15English Standard Version (ESV)
15 Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved,[a] a worker who has no need to be ashamed, rightly handling the word of truth.
- Describe in your own words the significance of studying, meditating, and understanding God's Word in your life?
When I study scripture, I'm looking to know who God is, who God has created me to be, and if I'm not living up to his intent for my life, how I should change to come in line with his will. The Hebrews passage really resonates with me, because God's Word really is alive and active! God is able to speak to me through the scriptures, and instead of me just reading the words on the page, God's word is able to read my life and bring me to repentance.
